Career Math
Career decisions, done with real numbers.
Career Math is a YouTube channel that breaks down jobs, pay, and cost of living using official U.S. government data — the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), and the U.S. Department of Education. Sources are linked in every video.
What we do
- Compare wages across occupations, states, and metro areas
- Adjust pay for local cost of living using BEA Regional Price Parities
- Show percentiles, not just averages — and say when data is not published
- Cite the dataset and release date on screen, every time
What we don’t do
- We don’t give career or financial advice. We describe what the data shows.
- We don’t use crowdsourced salary sites. Every number traces back to an official release.
